To everyone who knows me, I apologize. I've probably referenced this site about 100,000 times. But I'm going to bring it up once again, because it pisses me off. Bright Eyes and The All-American Rejects (although I hate to use them in the same sentence) aren't emo. The Saddest Landscape, Loma Prieta, and Rain (from France) are. This is an important clarification for me because most of my favorite bands are screamo, and that has a illusory meaning until "emo" is de-bastardized.
This site is written by normal people, so it's a little biased but still informative. youdontknowemo.
